Dr Ross Farnell, Director, brings his passion, creativity and extensive experience to assist the arts sector in achieving outcome-driven solutions across a wide range of cultural capabilities. He has worked across all levels of government, the not-for-profit cultural sector, peak industry bodies and registered charities. He has over 25 years’ experience in the arts and cultural sector at the senior executive level and in consulting work and projects, providing a broad scope of hands-on knowledge working with the performing, visual, museum, studio and community arts sectors. |
Ross has developed and driven a number of major capital works arts infrastructure projects from initial concept to business modelling, consultation, funding and partnerships, design, delivery and operational change.
He also extensive experience partnering with community, artists and organisations to develop, facilitate and fund the cultural production of a wide range of arts projects, events and festivals – both within cultural facilities and through activating spaces in townships and regionally. |
This direct and practical experience in the cultural sector is combined with a PhD in Cultural Studies and post-graduate qualifications in Arts Management, enabling Ross to bring high level research and analytical skills to projects.
His broad experience in consultative processes and practice includes engaging a wide range of stakeholders from community through to Government. Additionally, Ross has built an extensive network within the Australian arts sector and is a continuing active member of a number of peak industry bodies. |
